The dual diploma is for those that would like to hold dual qualifications as a Complementary Therapist and Holistic Counsellor. By combining the two diploma courses, you will only need to complete 8 modules instead of 12, saving you both money and time.

Complementary Therapies

Take a step into the metaphysical journey of the mind, body, heart and soul. A course that triggers a soul awakening and places you on the path to fulfilment. You will learn to assess, heal and guide self and others whether they be clients or loved ones. Discover how to utilise natural and mystical energies for personal development and lifestyle improvements; and explore a myriad of techniques for healing on all levels.

Holistic Counselling

Working with the philosophy of balance, this course combines holistic living and esoteric awareness with traditional counselling techniques; bringing together the best of alternative and mainstream wellbeing for the mind, heart and soul.

This is a practical and in-depth course that dives right into the heart of issues that are experienced by people from all walks of life; from letting go to creating happiness; from preventing stress to finding peace; from heartbreak to joyous relationships and self discovery to understanding humanity.

Minimum of 1 ½ years and a maximum of 3 years.

8 CD manuals, 2 crystal reference guides, 1 colour therapy reference guide, a crystal kit (approx. 40 minerals), crystal affirmation cards, colour swatches and a complimentary college notepad.

Students paying in instalments will receive each module (and its accompanying study materials) upon payment.

Modules 1 & 2 requires use of crystal implements from module 3. Students have the option of purchasing these implements (cost $40) along with their Module 1 and/or 2 enrolment. The cost (of $40) will then be deducted from your module 3 (with crystal kit) fees. See Optional Extras on the enrolment form.

Note:

Only the satin spar crystal is required for module 1. An alternative suggestion is provided in module 1for students that do not wish to purchase this optional extra.

The optional extras are included in the full course payment or module 3 enrolment.

* Module 3 with crystal kit for students outside of Australia and New Zealand is $925

 
Prerequisites:
Reiki I & II (or equivalent)* are prerequisites for the Diploma course. These certificates may be completed prior to or during the Diploma course. Students may choose their own Reiki teacher /school from their local area.

* An equivalent level of hands on healing (energy healing based) study may be accepted in substitute of the Reiki Certificates. Accepted substitutes include Pranic Healing, Sekhem and Therapeutic Touch. Other similar levels of energy healing may be considered upon  written request.

A copy of your Reiki I and II (or equivalent) certificates must be submitted to the college prior to commencement of Module 5.

General Information:

CD Manuals: The manuals are very comprehensive, have a flexible weekly study schedule and are comprised of a balance of theory and practical activities. Meditations are delivered on sound files within the manuals so that you are able to take yourself through each meditation. Activities are delivered in a step by step process and where relevant are accompanied by video clips making them easy to follow for students of all levels. 

Tutorial Assistance: Written feedback and guidance is provided to students each time they submit their assessment activities and any time they have questions pertaining to their course.

Currency: All course fees are in Australian dollars. A payment option is available for overseas students. All payments are non refundable.

Accreditation: All courses offered by Natural Energies College are recognised by the International Institute of Complementary Therapists and Nationally Accredited with the Australian Holistic Healers and Counsellors Association, enabling graduates to obtain membership with the AHHCA and gain practitioner insurance in order to practise professionally.

Minimum PC system requirements for CD Manuals: 512mb memory RAM; Adobe Reader 7.0 or later (Adobe reader can be downloaded free from the internet); CD-ROM drive; Sound Card; a Media Player eg. Windows Media Player or Quicktime (media players can be downloaded free from the internet).

FAQ

Is this course suitable for beginners or advanced students?
Modules are presented with methods that accommodate and support all levels from beginners to intermediate and advanced. A varied structure of topics, theory and activities allow beginners to adjust at a gradual and comfortable pace whilst providing advanced students with innovative, stimulating activities, thought provoking discussion and the support and guidance to fine tune areas of previous study whilst gaining new skills.

What type of homework do we receive?
Homework activities are designed to assist you in developing the necessary skills of a healer. Some activities will require you to practise your new skills on friends and family; however there are also activities in which you will engage in self analysis, self healing and lifestyle improvements. Therefore whilst you are learning, you are also creating a happier, healthier life for yourself and your loved ones. By doing so, you also become a positive role model for your clients as well as developing empathy towards the processes that you will be taking your clients through.

Do I need to attend classes on campus at any time during the course?
No, the entire dual diploma course is delivered via distance learning with online or phone assistance available for communicating with the college and your tutor.

I do not live in Australia. Can I still enrol in your courses?
Yes, our correspondence courses are available to overseas students from New Zealand, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Overseas* students may enrol in any of the certificate and diploma courses in holistic counselling, complementary therapies, colour therapy, metaphysical studies and crystal healing.

Are your certificate and diploma courses available nationally in Australia?
Yes, our correspondence courses are open to students living in Australia nationwide, country and cities: Melbourne Victoria, Sydney New South Wales, Brisbane Queensland, Perth Western Australia, Adelaide South Australia, Hobart Tasmania, Darwin Northern Territory and Canberra. All certificate and diploma courses in holistic counselling, complementary therapies, colour healing, metaphysical studies and crystal healing are available to Australian students.

Are there exams?
You will complete an open book written exam (in your home) for each module plus a clinical practice exam comprising of three case studies.

What is involved in the clinical practice case study exam?
The clinical practice exam requires you to take three volunteer clients through weekly healing sessions for a minimum of 10 weeks each. You will have supervision and guidance via phone or email to assist you with planning and facilitating your case study sessions. The aim of the clinical practice exam is to provide you with experience in your chosen field and to build your confidence in working as a holistic healer. The case study healing sessions are conducted in your own home or at a wellbeing centre in your local area.

This will entitle them to advertise, gain insurance and work under both titles and gain full practitioner membership with the Australian Holistic Healers and Counsellors Association. 

Complementary Therapies and Holistic Counselling are part of a rapidly growing industry, providing graduates with a multitude of career options including working in integrated health centres, aged care services, private practice, adult education (workshops, short courses and meditation classes), spiritual and metaphysical guidance to name but a few.
