Diploma in Complementary Therapies

Delve into the mind, body, heart and soul as you learn to heal, support, guide and enhance your and your client's health & wellbeing.

The Diploma in Complementary Therapies is our signature course. Inspired by ancient wisdoms and practices and a modern understanding of humanity, the world and beyond. Presented in a unique format of modules, this course is exclusive to the Science of Natural Energies college and nationally accredited by the Australian Holistic Healers and Counsellors Association. It is inspiring, creative, practical and insightful and will have a life changing impact on you and your clients.

DURATION:

Minimum of one year and a maximum of 2 years.

An extension may be granted upon written request.

COMMENCES:

Students may enrol at any time.

STUDY OPTIONS

FULL CORRESPONDENCE:

Home study with tutorial assistance via phone and email.

PART CORRESPONDENCE:

Home study combined with monthly tutorials at the school, plus study assistance via phone and email.

STUDY MATERIALS:

Students receive each module in a seperate CD (PDF) manual. Manuals are very comprehensive and are comprised of a balance of theory and practical activities. Meditations are delivered on sound files within the CD manuals so that you are able to take yourself through each meditation. Activities are delivered in a step by step process and where applicable are accompanied by pictures and video clips making them easy to follow for students of all levels.

MONTHLY TUTORIALS:

Tutorials are for students that prefer person to person contact with a teacher rather than, or in addition to study assistance via email or phone. Tutorials are held one Thursday per month between the hours of 10am and 3pm. Additional tutorial days may be available. Tutorial sessions are usually private (with an approximate duration of 60 to 90 minutes) but may also be in pairs or small groups depending on attendance and student levels on the day.

Note: applicants that are unsure as to whether they will need the extra study assistance of tutorials should enrol as a full correspondence student. They can then transfer to part correspondence, if required, by paying the additonal fee.

Students paying in instalments will receive each module upon payment.

Module 2 requires use of implements from the module 3 crystal kit. Students have the option of purchasing these implements (cost $40) along with their module 2 enrolment. The cost (of $40) will then be deducted from your module 3 (with crystal kit) fees. OPtional extra 3 on the enrolment form is recommended for module 1, however it is not essential. See optional extras on the enrolment form.

PREREQUISITES:

Reiki I & II (or equivalent)* are prerequisites for the Diploma course. These certificates may be completed prior to or during the Diploma course. Students may choose their own Reiki teacher /school from thier local area.

* An equivalent level of hands on healing study may be accepted in substitute of the Reiki Certificates. Accepted substitutes include Pranic Healing, Sekhem and Therapeutic Touch. Other similar levels of hands on healing may be considered upon written request.

A copy of your Reiki I and II (or equivalent) certificates must be submitted to the school prior to commencement of Module 5.

SYLLABUS:

Module 1 Holistic Counselling I Focusing on traditional and holistic counselling techniques for awareness, empowerment, guidance and healing. This module is divided into three main sections - Holistic Living - delving into the mind, body, heart and spirit; Meditation - learning to facilitate various forms and style of meditation for individuals and groups; and Counselling - understanding the mind and it's contribution to health and happiness and exploring skills and processes that students can incorporate into holistic healing sessions.

Module 2 Metaphysical Studies
In this comprehensive module we examine the subtle energies that support and connect the mind, body and spirit. This is combined with exploration of the soul, encouraging the student to uncover their intuitive and spiritual strengths and learn practical methods for refining and expanding their skills in this area. Explore esoteric signs and messages; make your own runes, learn to read a coffee cup, conduct rituals, manifest, discover the laws of the universe, meet your guides and totem animals, explore magical lunar energy and more. This module contains a myriad of esoteric topics, each practical, creative, detailed and enjoyable.

Module 3 Crystal Healing
Students are taken into the beautiful and mystical mineral world, which often creates the foundation for many integrated healings. Most students find this module introduces them to what quickly becomes a passion as they examine theories behind crystal healing, explore the use of crystals for analysis, elixirs, gridding and learn various healing techniques that can be used on their own or incorporated into a holistic healing session.

Module 4 Colour Therapy
In this module, we take a look at a kaleidoscope of colours and their effects on the mind, body, heart and spirit. Using a variety of colour applications, from swatches, meditation and elixirs to mandalas, hands on healing and chromotherapy torches; students will learn how to use colour for healing, analysis and readings as well as utilizing colour psychology for the home, office and lifestyle.

Students will be taken through the step by step process of incorporating all the modules to create an integrated healing session that will suit the individual needs of each client. Enrolment option 1: Download, print and complete your enrolment form (using the fees schedule as a guide). Then post it to The Science of Natural Energies, PO Box 20 Clarinda Victoria 3169. Payment option 1: Make your payment via internet banking (or in person at a Westpac bank). Please include your name in the transaction to allow us to identify your payment. Where possible, attach a bank confirmation of payment with your enrolment form. (banking details can be found on the enrolment form) Payment option 2: Make your payment via cheque or money order. Please make cheques payable to the Science of Natural Energies. Post your cheque/money order with your enrolment form to the address above. Once your enrolment is received by the college, we will send an email confirmation of your enrolment. DUAL QUALIFICATIONS
If you want to hold dual qualifications as a Complementary Therapist and Holistic Counsellor, you can save money and time by combining the two Diploma courses together. This means that you will only need to complete 8 modules instead of 12 plus additional clinical practise hours. Students that pay upfront for all 8 modules receive a discount. * PC System Requirements: a minimum of 512mb (preferably 1 GB) memory RAM (the manual, video and sound filees may take longer to open or be slower with less memory); Adobe Reader 7.0 or later (can be downloaded free from the internet); CD-ROM drive; Sound card; a media player eg. Windows Media Player or Quick Time (Media players can be downloaded from the internet for free).

* Tutorials may be held at different venues due to unforseen circumstances.

* All payments are non refundable.

* Full correspondence students may transfer to part correspondence at any time by paying the additional $50 per module. Alternatively, tutorials are available to full correspondence students for a fee of $35 per tutorial.

* Part correspondence students that are paying in module instalments, may transfer to full correspondence upon enrolment of their next module.
