| Is this course suitable for beginners or advanced students? | ||
|
Modules
are presented with methods that accommodate and support all levels from
beginners to intermediate and advanced. A varied structure of topics,
theory and activities allow beginners to adjust at a gradual and comfortable
pace whilst providing advanced students with innovative, stimulating
activities, thought provoking discussion and the support and guidance
to fine tune areas of previous study whilst gaining new skills.

What
type of homework do we receive?
|

|
Homework
activities are designed to assist the student in developing the necessary
skills of a healer. Some activities will require you to practise your
new skills on friends and family; however there are also activities
in which you will engage in self analysis, self healing and lifestyle
improvements. Therefore whilst you are learning, you are also creating
a happier, healthier life for yourself and your loved ones.

Upon
graduation, what qualifications does the course provide me with?
|
||
|
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Complementary Therapies, graduates gain the qualification and title of Complementary therapist (or Holistic Healer). This will entitle them to advertise, gain insurance and work as a Complementary Therapist and gain full practitioner membership with the Australian Holistic Healers and Counsellors Association. Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Holistic Counselling, graduates will be entitled to advertise, gain insurance and full practitioner membership with the AHHCA and work under the title of Holistic Counsellor. Complementary Therapies and Holistic Counselling are part of a rapidly growing industry, providing graduates with a multitude of career options including working in integrated health centres, aged care services, private practice, adult education (workshops, short courses and meditation classes), spiritual and metaphysical guidance to name but a few. |

Is
the course accredited with a professional organisation?
|
||
|
Yes, both Diploma courses are nationally accredited with the Australian Holistic Healers and Counsellors Association.
Upon graduation, students will qualify for full membership, providing
graduates with the benefits of belonging to a national association,
including meeting the requirements that will enable them to obtain professional
indemnity insurance.

Are
there students that study for personal reasons only?
|
||
| Yes, we have students that choose to enrol for personal development rather than professional. Written and practical homework is optional for students that are not aiming to receive a professional qualification upon completion of the course. | ||
| What is the purpose of the monthly tutorials? | ||
| Monthly tutorials are for students that prefer to have person to person contact with a teacher rather (or in addition to) phone or email tutorial assistance. | ||
| I'm not sure if I need the tutorials. | ||

If
you are unsure as to whether you will need the monthly tutorials, it is
advisable to enrol in the full correspondence option. Then, if you find
that you do need the tutorials, you can transfer to Part correspondence
by paying the additional fees.

| Can I transfer from Part correspondence to full correspondence? |
||
| Yes, upon enrolment of your next module. (Not applicable for students that pay for the entire course upfront). | ||
| Are there exams? | ||
|
Students will complete
an open book exam (in their own home) at the end of each module plus a minimum of 20* weeks of clinical
practise comprising of two case studies.
Clinical practise is conducted in your own home or at a wellbeing centre in your local area. * This may be reduced to 12 weeks completing both case studies simultaneously. |

Are
there any prerequisites?

||
|
There are no prerequisites for the certificate courses. However Reiki I & II or a similar hands on healing workshop is highly recommended for students that have little or no experience in energy healing. |

What
type of home study do we receive?
|
||
|
Home
study activities are designed to assist you in developing the necessary
skills of a healer. The majority of assigned home study will be practical
activities. You will need to practise your new skills on friends or
family as well as engaging in self analysis and self healing activities.
Therefore whilst you are learning, you are also creating a happier, healthier life for yourself and your loved ones. By doing so, you also become a positive role model for your clients as well as developing an empathy towards the processes that you will be taking your clients through. |

Are
there exams?

Students will complete

practise comprising of two case studies.
Clinical practise is conducted in your own home or at a wellbeing centre in your local area.

Certificate
in Holistic Counselling I- Graduates will
be able to incorporate counselling techniques into their existing healing
modalities. Eg. combining counselling techniques with Reiki or another
energy healing modality.
Note: Students wanting to have and work under the title of Holistic Counsellor must complete the Diploma in Holistic Counselling. Certificate in Metaphysical Studies - Graduates will be able to practise professionally in metaphysical healing or guidance. They may also integrate their metaphysical studies into their existing modalities.
Certificate
in Crystal Healing - Graduates
will be able to practise professionally as a crystal healer or incorporate
crystal healing into their existing modalities.
Certificate in Colour Therapy - Graduates will be able to incorporate colour therapy into their existing healing modalities. Eg. combining colour therapy with Reiki or incorporating colour readings during spiritual guidance/psychic readings.
